Pilates

The Pilates Method is a series of low impact exercises, targeting muscles in the abdominal area, back, shoulders and pelvic floor. The series of exercises elongate and strengthen the muscles and support good posture, laying the foundation for a strong core, often overlooked in typical workout programs.

At Movement Training, the focus is on restoring that balance of muscular strength and flexibility to the body. Restoring this balance, along with correct posture, equips the client to reach new levels in their fitness goals. The Pilates Method is a highly effective way to strengthen and streamline your body and meets the needs of every level of fitness, from beginning to advanced. It is invaluable to anyone recovering from an injury.

GYROTONIC®

The GYROTONIC® method is an unique form of physical training composed of spiraling, circular movement that restores range of motion to the joints of the body while building strength and flexibility. Through this movement, clients gain improved posture, greater ease of movement and overall increased sense of well being. With it’s roots in Yoga, Tai Chi and Chi Gong, it’s a perfect supplement to anyone’s existing exercise routine.

Pre- & Post- Natal Conditioning

Pre- and post-natal conditioning provides support to the specific and unique fitness needs of women during and recovering from their pregnancy. Common issues, such as lower back discomfort, Pyriformis Syndrome, upper back tension and the weakening of abdominal and pelvic floor muscles, are addressed in a nurturing environment. As a certified Birthing Doula, Adrienne loves helping women get ready for the birth of their child, understanding that every woman’s pregnancy is unique and special.

Birthing Doula

For those pre-natal clients who decide that they want to give birth naturally, Adrienne loves being able to continue to provide the physical and emotional support so often needed during a woman's labor and birthing experience.

Living & Eating Healthy

Every body is different and has different needs nutritionally. To achieve one's fitness goals of keeping your body strong and in good condition, healthy eating is a necessary component. 

Although she doesn't subscribe to any one particular program, Adrienne believes that eliminating certain foods and emphasizing others can dramatically help achieve ones's health and fitness goals. Clients are encouraged by Adrienne to discuss good nutrition and what steps can be taken to reach that healthier lifestyle.
